Pioneers is the answer to the wishes of the readers of the series Architecture is the most important. After the publication of the second volume, entitled Architects, the EMG publishing house met with many voices asking for a continuation of the topic of women’s participation in creating Polish architectural culture. Pioneers is a collection of essays about the precursors of urban planning and modern Polish architecture. About women forgotten in these fields, although they contributed to their development: Anna Ptaszycka, Wanda Krahelska, Wanda Melcer, Gizella Marguliesówna and Teresa Chmura-Pełech.
