Craft and industry exhibitions were one of the most interesting phenomena in the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century. The publication gives extensive information about exhibitions layout, changing situation in urban planning, architectural forms of the pavilions, the accompanying greenery and a variety of flower gardens. These are numerous, now often forgotten events for entertainment and recreation, because these shows attracted keenly interested inhabitants of Wroclaw and Silesia. The text is complemented with 282 archival and contemporary photos of the Wroclaw Exhibition Grounds.
