The book by prof Olgierd Czerner consists of memories of the first director and founder of the Museum of Architecture in Wroclaw, comprehensive and richly illustrated with photographs. Professor Czerner vividly describes the first moments of the new cultural institution that begun its operation as the Museum of Architecture and Reconstruction, a branch of the Museum of the City of Wroclaw. The book includes memories of its first employees, problems with adapting the medieval monastery and church to the new functions, the first exhibitions and friendships that often stood the test of time and continue to this day. A special place in the publication have archival photographs and documents preserved from the collection of the author and the collections of the Museum of Architecture.
