27.1.2023–26.2.2023

The exhibition presented at the Museum of Architecture in Wrocław is the next installment of the inter-university project Poly-Polytechnics, Architecture and Art, carried out by the Bydgoszcz University of Technology, Poznań University of Technology and Wrocław University of Technology. The aim of the exhibition is to reflect on the importance of drawing in architectural education, to question the autonomy of drawing as an independent art medium and to attempt to define its significance within each artistic and design field.

The authors of the works presented in the museum space will also have the opportunity to share their experiences and views during the academic conference ‚Architectural drawing today - utilitarian and autonomous forms of depiction’, which inaugurates the exhibition.

The Poly-Polytechnics, Architecture and Art project was born out of an initiative to bring the scientific community together to exchange experiences and organise joint events. The first stage of the collaboration was an exhibition and symposium entitledArtistic and scientific intervention, organised on the initiative of Beata Fertała-Harlender in the ruins of the palace and park complex in Goszcz in 2022. The same year also saw a drawing and painting plein-air and a post-air exhibition entitled Artefacts of a bygone era by cycling along the trail of Chełstów/Tvardogóra/Goszcz monuments, in which architecture students from each of the participating universities participated.
