After the success of the books “SAS. Illustrated Atlas of Saska Kępa Architecture”, “ŻOL. Illustrated Atlas of Architecture of Żoliborz” and “MOK. Illustrated Atlas of Northern Mokotow Architecture” Centrum Architektury publishes the fourth position in the series, devoted to the architecture of Ochota.

The “OCH - Illustrated Atlas of Ochota Architecture” presents 60 buildings, architectural assumptions, sculptures and decorative details located in the district. Each object is accompanied by one illustration and a short description in Polish and English. The presentations are preceded by a bilingual introduction with an outline of the district’s history.

The buildings and details are presented with a precise but synthetic illustration. This way of presenting the architecture allows us to understand the basic spatial assumptions of individual projects, undisturbed by the limitations that we face in the case of photos of buildings (trees covering them, other objects or elements of urban infrastructure, lack of access from some sides, modernization changes). Thus, we have a chance to get to know the original idea of the architect better.
